An accessory to jewelry? Or a jewel, metaphorically, by itself? Anyway - very beautiful and interesting.
Hi Joost....Other members had posted pottery and discussed the relationship between the designs in various media, so I thought I would offer Tunisian examples. I like the Sejnane pottery because it is less commercialized than stuff from Nabeul, and one can see the same motifs in Sejnane pottery (as one example of local arts) as appear in the jewelry. I tend to be a bit of an armchair anthropologist, so I like putting my jewelry in a larger cultural context.
I lover ceramics, Edith, so although I was a bit surprised, I was very happy to look. And as you say, the matter of context is important.
