An original Arussi /Sidamo antique glass beads necklace,from Tjechian trade beads. It was worn as protection against bad happenings. These necklaces didn.t come into the market until about 1985 because the trades in Addis were a bit reticent to handle these type of necklaces.
For sale Euro 350.- (I have restrung them in its originality because the cotton thread was eaten up and very breakable, but now it can be worn.
Very lovely! It must have been a lot of work to restring this necklace.
It took time but not difficult as it slipped on my string almost from the original string. It was very satisfying because I love their at random strung beads and happen to give a color combination. It shows up lovely on Blue denim , actually on many colors.
