I would love to know what kind of nuts they are and if they have some special meaning.. to use any nuts is not quite what these people do.

These remind me of small plum pits.

We find plums a lot in Qinq dynasty jewelry, so perhaps they have a more symbolic meaning.

Yes you are correct.. also Nectarines have similar. But plum would make sense since you see it allot.

I have a book on Chinese symbols I should look it up and find out what in fact the plum stands for. I know I have read that the bamboo bracelets worn in Mongolia were only worn when a woman was older and of a certain age. I will look that up too and find out why.. there are two very good books on that subject and I will list them here when I find out the answer. I don't retain the info like I used to.
