  • Gorgeous - I love it. Peter
  •  I shipped it out yesterday to the new owner , it is  a very nice one .

  • For my taste, these pectorals are absolute perfection.  You have many wonderful Caucasian pieces right now!

  • This one is sold, just got shipped off, but there are two other ones available. Actually the other ones for me are even more interesting in some ways as they are more unusual. I will post them tomorrow.

  • I am still curious as to whether these attached to something below.

  •  There are buttons on the back so that you tab them into a bodice. They are worn either sewn on or buttoned in.

  • Truly magnificent. I never tire of admiring the craftsmanship of the Caucasian silver smiths, especially from Azerbaijan and Dagestan. I can imagine the agony for you when you ship them off, but what a joy for the new owners.

  • Strongly reminiscent of the necklace we bought from you a few years ago! And own with pleasure ...

  •  Yes , this is . there are other ones that are very interesting that are a bit different that i will post also. This more classic one is what the client decided upon.

  • Linda, I think that because of what Raisa Ismailova has been telling us it would be wise to describe this as having been made in Dagestan rather than Azerbaijan, although the piece was worn in the south of that country as well. Personally I am going to revise my description of the necklace which we bought from you and which also turns out to be from Dagestan (even though also worn in Azerbaijan. As a Former Senior Researcher at the Dagestan State Museum of Fine Arts Raisa  is obviously in an excellent position to tell us how it is, and we no longer need to engage in conjectures. I is understandable to think that because this type of necklace was WORN in the south of Azerbaijan, it was also made there. That is now extremely impossible: we should not ignore the knowledge of experts who know the jewellery of the region first hand.
