  High grade silver, I think it's from the Levant, but not really sure.  It has such a satiny patina and wonderful wear.  It's like silk on the wrist!  I think that the five spikes act like a khamsa.  The dots of granulation on the top of each spike has a twisted wire around it, though all are so worn, that it is hard to see this detail....

  the silk feeling comes when the silver is high grade, this one is more than sterling, could be 950 or more. also, when it is not extrem hammered and worn long time.

  this high silver here comes because it is made in an area where there is lot of silver mines and the deal with silver was easy.( the mines are now fonctioning illegaly and some youngs go there every day to get some for sale . it worths for the silver price now )

  this comes from the vicinity of the red sea from south egypt the erythrea.

  The model is very close to that of southern egypt but still one can notice slight differences.
  
  I guess that your bracelet hillary is way older that those published hence the differences and the high content of silver......

  I must apologetically confess I had not ever seen this side of the bangle! And it is just wonderful, as is the other side (which I showed on Facebook and which was much liked there, of course). I am sure Alaa's analysis is correct, in all respects. It explains fully why this necklace is "different" from the far more commonly seen Nubian varieties. And much older. A truly great piece, Hillary!
