Mitre of a Greek-Orthodox bishop or abbot. From Argyroupolis (Gümüşhane), in the eastern Pontos. 'Rum' (Anatolian Greek); made in the 17th century, but restored in 1791. (Partly gilt) silver and semi-precious stones. Height: 25 cm. (Benaki Museum, Athens).
