A two-piece Islamic street-wear. From Central Anatolia, late-Ottoman, urban style, ca. 1900-1925. Consisting of two very large (mixt cotton & silk) 'peştemal', one worn as wrapper around the waist, and the other as outdoors headscarf. Purchased in Afyon, in 1994. (Inv.n° str002 - Kavak Costume Collection - Antwerpen/Belgium).
