  • Hi Ayis, do you have an Algerian jbin?  If so can you post?  Here is another jbin I saw at museum in Tamarzet, but it looks like an Algerian one.  What do you think?

  • verry beautiful. to find in the atlas aurasien and some oasis too. the shawl on the shoulder are worn only the marriage day. normaly made from the bride months ago,silk embroidery on black wool cloth. each region has own flowers samples. after it, it goes to wall decoration. old pieces are verry rare now

  • unfortunately not. I have been staring at a beautiful one for months now, with coral and a wonderful patina, but the seller is asking three times what i consider a fair price, so no jbin for me so far.

  • My jbin is used, but I think not very old.  The seller over-cleaned it a bit, so it is rather shiny.  It was only 1.8TD per gram, so very affordable.
