For information about TUAREG crosses (but I'm sure you knew it before !)there's 21 different models of crosses, here detailed in the book 'Tuareg Jewelry'

I have a frame bought in the Republic NIger with 21 real crosses behind glass......... It hangs in my bedroom. I showed it earlier, but deleted all my photos. If you want to see it, I can show it to you on Pinterest, I will not load it here anymore.

@Marianne it is there. To place a photo under comments, you press the second icon on top of the comments square (the little picture), with this you can add photos under comments. Very easy, once tried out.

nice photo

would like to add some precisions i the called touareg crosses.

in many books, forums and shops. it is mentioned touareg crosses. just to let you know. there is no touareg crosses.

this liste of 21 niger touareg crosses were catalogued from the french administartion as towns and regions emblems. they were more famous in hippies time and kept existing until now.

the only info that thoes pendants were existing, goes back to a photo taken in 1920. even in that one, it was not clear to see.

it is supposed that it beggined after 1920 in Niger and got more made for the missionary , the french legion soldiers and another corps

so ... it was called "crosses" only for the Europeans ??? how are they designed by natives ? I have one, bought to this Malian arts & crafts market in Paris, and seems to be the 3rd from right in the middle row .... no, you are very kind, but the photo is notgood ! just informative ! :-)
