These beads look like they contain some niello -- where are they from originally? Lovely modern composition in the tribal tradition!
I don't think they are nielloed - just a bit of patina and maybe even a little dirt or residue from the creation process. I bought them from one of Sarah's contacts - they are a new copy of an old design. The pink beads are recycled glass from Ghana.
