  • beautiful!!!!

  • Where are the fibules with t he small red stones from?

  • I have very similar ones sold as coming from Meknes......Could these be coming from Aures (Algeria)? They are rather beautiful.

  • Ait, bottom cherot in the middle, is that what you called the Tin Hinan pattern (a big central ball and four smaller on the angles) ? or not?

  • There are Moroccan fibules of similar shape, but they are usually solid, not cut out like these are.

  • My Meknes ones are moulded, so these must be Aures.

  • I Have some very similar from Essaouria

  • thank you all.

Pattricia: they are from oulad nail until saoura and south marokko. verry old pieces.even the museum has only one not two.

    chantal. not really

  • Ait, I'll post mine (the ones thought to be from Meknes and the ones thought to be from the Aures) and you can tell me what you think.......(if the connection allows!). They have common features with yours.

Ait, when you said "not really" did you mean the Tin Hinan pattern or the attibution of your fibulae?

  • These are lovely, does the round ball of silver alloy have a meaning?
