A ‘çevre’ (square kerchief; a decorative accessory, for the interior, but also used in costumes by both men and women). From the Bursa region, ca. 1925-1950. The ‘tel kırma’ embroidery is ‘two-sided’ (identical on both sides); motives are obtained by sticking narrow metallic strips (often silver) through the fabric and folding them. Design: leaves and twigs. (Inv.nr. brdw003 - Kavak Collection - Antwerpen/Belgium).
