  • Wonderful balanced necklaced, those silver elements are just great.

You must be enjoying wearing it Marie-Ange, in any case it is very attractive on the picture.

  • Thank you Ayis, yes I am very happy with this beautiful necklace and wear it proudly as I do with all my lovely pieces.  Nice jewelry makes people prettier I think.

  • Spectacular. You are very creative Marie Ange.

  • It was strung with smaller coral beads I just added my large beads instead so no credit for me on this one. ;)

  • Credit where credit`s due, Marie-Ange. You knew exactly how to adapt it. It`s lovely. Happy wearing!

  • Thanks Frankie and Chantal.

  • Marie-Ange, this is stunning! The textures of both the silver and the coral make it delicious. I love the way the elements move gradually from large to small and especially the subtle touch of those smaller silver flower shapes, not at the end, but second from the end. Created with an artists eye!

  • I second the last comment wholeheartedly! I f anyone thinks it is easy to put a necklace together that is totally satisfying to the eye - they should try it. It is far from just stringing beads/elements together. Subtlety is the key, I think.

The constituents of this one are so lovely anyway. Coral from Marrakech? Good luck with the exhibition, Marie-Ange! Wish I could be there.

  • Thank you Suzan and Frankie you are very kind!

  • Now that I think about this more and see Pat's piece and the other tassel I have, I believe these are Uighur also. It makes more sense as the little woven beads that look like braided chinese knots in silver are what the tassels would have been coming out from. They are more Chinese in style and the beads are shaped like what would have been used as tassels.  Some of these sets must have been incredible. This one has both granulation and filigree and multiple stones employed in the settings which is also unusual.
