  • A very beautiful ring, what a nice little house!

  • It arrived today and I love it!!

  • It is fabulous!

  • I love this!  now this is a ring that can keep some poison!  don;'t you love it when you wear a huge ring and people always say "  does that open, or is there poison in that? "

  • For some reason people (men) are always intimidated by such a ring and make comments that I can protect myself with such a ring.....alot of women love it but would never wear it themselves!    The concept of poison ring is not well known here in Holland I am afraid.......but all the same I looooove it!!!

  • I either get the line "you can protect your self " coming from men and or poison ring also coming from men.  Woman like them, men are intimidated.  It worked well on subway late at night and gang types would smile and say to me , we are not messing around with you and or can we borrow your gear? something funny.

  • yes that is it excactly! girl power!!

  • Nice ring!  I have heard that these were used as wedding rings for women who where too poor to have one of their own.  A ring such as this would belong to a temple/ synagogue and be lent to the bride, in much the same way that a crown is lent by the church to a Swedish bride.  Does anyone know any more about this?

  • This is a Jewish wedding ring, the little temple should open up to show the Torah. These were kept by the congregation and lent to each bride. Some of the really old ones are fabulous, gold, ornate. I have one as well, a little different, that is supposed to come from Yemen.

  • thanks for the extra info, the seller told me it was a marriage ring but I had no idea it belonged to the synagogue just to be lent to the bride.  Patti can you show us yours too please?
