Beautiful cuff, Joost. Rather unusual in the banded patternings. Love the filigree hearts in the centre.
Yes, there are several unusual but very attractive and totally persuasive features. I agree with Linda that the piece is outstanding and rare - and this is the kind of piece where our tastes strongly converge, as we both like granulation and filigree, the patterning we see here, the "tribal" shape of a cuff, and the age. As I have said before, I also like the fact that several Indonesian pieces (often very Yemeni-like in that respect) offer similar kinds of appeal (I am thinking in particular of the Minangkabau, the Bugis, etc).
