Just a fun picture to show the different shapes of the old resin and bakelite beads. One enormous bead (as large as an ordinary egg) to be hung on a cow, when she needs some protection for sickness or to produce good milk. In Ethiopia the moslem people believe very stronly in the healing and protection power of the amber and the resin beads.

    this shown here is a normal egg? Wow, then the bead  is really very very big! Am very surprised, have never seen such a size. It is good that you put the egg for comparison! I am very surprised at it s size!
