Traditional bridegroom/festive costume of the Karakeçeli villages in the district of Keles (south of Bursa). Clothing style: mid-20th century. Inserts: (top) rearview; (down) three embroidered items given by the girl to her future husband: a small triangular engagement ‘kese’ (purse), a ‘peşkir’ (hand towel, worn in the waist belt) and a square ‘tütün kesesi’ (tobacco pouch). (Kavak Costume Collection-Antwerpen/Belgium). (This full costume was SOLD to the ‘Etnografisch Museum, Antwerpen’).
