An ‘arkalık kuşak’ (waist cloth) from the Pomak villages near Biga (Çanakkale prov.). Part of the traditional festive costume for women. 1950-1975. Adorned with cotton crochet lace, small metallic spirals, (cotton or orlon) pom-poms & tassels, and lots of sequins (both metal and mica).
