Afghan Wedding Necklace

For Sale at http://craftsofthepast.artfire.comAfghanistan in the 1970s offered such pieces for collectors. Actually all the components for this piece were purchased during several shopping trips to the various bazaars. Then the so-called wedding necklace was assembled in Afghanistan in 1974.

    it is kind of sweet with all the shells, corals, bells!

    So true!  I wore it once when I first got it to a bridge tournament.  It turned out that the bells were a bit of a distraction (giggle).
