Introduction:
Recently, from an innocent conversation with a friend on Facebook, I ended up writing a book about China.
Two of the people I had met on this journey graciously allowed me to make them into the main characters. However, everyone I ever knew was in it: my mother, my grandmother, my father and grandfather, my Hemingway-character friend, me. There was suicide, emotional abuse, motorcycles, tragedy, murder, learning, characters being thrown through glass windows, and the quest to rid oneself of a superficial world.
