  • hello it is not tunisian but from kabilie in Algeria it is beautifull and perhaps not old

  • I also believe that this is a tiznit piece. I believe it to come from the workshops next to the source bleu. Once a sacred place now not so beautiful.. I have seen this type of work from there . The quality and colour of the enamelling say 1980s to me. Always tricky without handling the piece...!

  • This reminds me of older Taroudant work in metal.  I've seen and held in hand Kabyle work in metal- Chantal knows what I mean- and it had a different look.   But one never knows!

  • if it was tunisian, will be smaller with more green.

tiznit is a possibility too, even rather. the was the arabic " waw ", half S is fixed together is typical tiznit.

there is some smith apprentice trying out and do not use the coral. this piece could be one of the results.

i find the price a bit high without making the jewel , the shop or the seller bad. it is just my opinion for a piece without a strong background, no mediterannee coral and vintage.

this piece could be until 30 years old. more will surprise me

  • not very convinced by this bracelet

    it seems very odd

no kabyles are to be found in tunisia neither in morocco

    a tiznit copy??? needs confirmation

i dont think it is old either

  • Ait, the price is 1,400 dollars which is probably about 1000 euros -- but there is negotiation possible. As I said, I don't want to buy it, just interested in the origin since I did not know that Kabyle people lived in Tunisia and was not sure of it's authenticity. Do you think it is antique or vintage?

  • i can imagine that this piece is over 500 euro.

the prices now in Kabylie for 1 gr new jewelry is around 2,5 euros

  • it is a genuine piece. old piece handmade . if 100 % tunisia i m not sure could be Algeria kabylie fom Isser

  • Not trying to question the integrity of the dealer, just trying to get a little more information about this item--not for purchase ( it is very expensive) but for knowledge. I would be interested to know, for example, if Kabyle people also inhabit parts of Tunisia and not just Algeria. I love the wirework on this item, is this kind of wirework typical of Kabyle work? Anyway, a discussion just for the fun of it.
