Pendant with Rashaideh Headcover - Saudi Arabia

This is a beautiful, heavy pendant, the centerpiece of which is a Maria Theresa Thaler.The Rashaideh headcover features beautiful silver bead embroideries and is very heavy as it is quite large.These are rare pieces.

Dear Peter, ...a beautiful arrangement of the pendant and the splendidly embroidered cloth together. It's interesting how widespread this type of pendant is ... with the decorated coin and the chains. I've seen similar pendants in Afghanistan, for instance. But not with thalers!
