Very fascinating bracelet and for sure it does look heavy. Very unusual all the different features on it. The lock looks quite complicated. What an investment.
This is a beautiful and unique piece. It looks quite old . I love the granulation on the piece. It is very nice that you could get such a rare piece. Congratulations
Another Palestinian beauty, Lynn. Congrats!
Your collection from wonderful jewels of this region is taking shape :-)
Thank you for your kind comments, Ingrid, Mustafa, Peter, and Betty. Betty you are right, I am collecting as much Palestinian jewelry as I can find and afford. In a few weeks I will have two hair ornaments arrive.
Another excellent piece, Lynn!
Such a glorious piece. I can't praise enough your photographing skills. Congratulations Lynn!
Dear Sharleen, Joost, and Alaa, thank you so much for your kind comments on the bracelet and the photo. :) Today I was re-reading Widad Kawar's "Threads of Identity" and found the exact same bracelet in her section on Nablus, made by "Qirri" who was one of the prominent jewelers working in Nablus in the first half of the 20th century. So I am pretty sure I now know who made this bracelet as well.
