Necklace - Yemen

One does not find often the complete leather necklaces on which the silver Thaler with dangles are fasten on - mainly due to wear and tear. This is only the second such beauty, which I could secure. However, it is rather fragile as well. The reverse is still holding the goat fur as per the separate photo below...The green color is not verdi gris but the green wool, which has been used to fasten the dangles onto the leather.

    A lovely piece, Peter. And believe it or not, I have a similar one which I have not yet posted... Only the leather band has been replaced by a coarse brown cotton strip. I will take y picture this weekend and post it....
