Detail of a traditional festive headgear from northwestern Anatolia, ca. 1925-1950. Consisting of a felt cap, a silver 'tepelik' (hat cover) adorned with niello and featuring late-Ottoman coins on chains, and two 'oyalı yazma' (headscarves edged with Turkish lace). (Ege University Ethnographic Museum, Izmir).
