  • Hello Mathur. This is a very interesting pendant. It looks like an elephant and an arm. Does it have a meaning?

  • Could the beads have been thimbles at one point?

The pendant does look like an elephant face to me, too.

  • an interesting necklace! I agree with Thelma and Anjali, the pendant Looks like an elephants face (Ganesh?) - perhaps an amulet for protection?

  • Hi Thelma,Eva & Anjali :D ,pleased to have your comments and honored to answer,i'm a dealer and an exporter of antique silver and gold jewelery and we also do the fusion of jewelry, design something unique out of them and i can understand why it made you all feel like that, but if you have noticed the trunk,it has a silver ball(that indicates, according to the Hindu Religion, lord ganesh has always got a sweet in his left hand, which shows that you don't have to cook any sweet for him) and through there we got this indication that it is the face of lord ganesh and Eva  lord ganesh is the god of luck and good health......

  • Really nice - the Afghan beads look like thimbles, even down to the indentations around the tops. Interesting.
