I have a feeling that the stones are referred to as pomegranate glass. The colour will have a meaning attached to it. Maybe something like celebrating rebirth/regeneration/prosperity.
Their are others on this site who know much more than I do about colour symbolism for the area. If I can track it down, I will let you know.
I`m quite surprised about the higher percentage of silver than sterling. I don`t think that`s common.

Can you tell from the photos anything about the age or stones or ??? It has a higher percentage of silver in it than sterling.
Maybe Saryk Turkman? It`s a little plainer than Tekke Turkman, without the gilding.

That has been the general consensus of opinion thus far Thelma. I'm just wondering if any one else has any more details such as a guesstimate of age or use or value or ??? Stones?? I'm going to list it in our pawn shop's Bargain Barn since it is not Native American but just want to describe it as best I can.
