  What an unusual piece!! I did not see any like it in Uzbekistan!!

  I had the change last year to buy one in Samerkand, but it did not dare because they warned me they

  could take it from me if they found it!!

  But for sure it has an influence of somewhere, and it nearly only can be Russian like you suggest!

  Certainly looks like an Uzbeki piece overall - no doubt about that. And yes, I imagine the clock - as an interesting feature - could have been incorporated  under Russian influence: it does not look native and traditional. But that only adds to the interest. There is quite a it of turquoise (coloured? is it glass?) micro-mosaic missing, which is a shame. But a good piece overall. By the way, do the coins show anything of interest?

  hi believe the blue are glass. it's worth finding some blue beads to fill in the gaps. will do so someday. i've added a photos of the coins. perhaps somebody can tell me more by looking at these coins?

  Nice and interesting piece! These coins are silver Russian Kopeke coins, from the Tsaristic period just before the Revolution. You see them often on Turkoman and Uzbek jewelry. sometimes gilded. The clock is curious! Kathleen posted ones a niello wrist- watch bracelet ( her foto's page 53)

  Hi howah: it is quite frequent for the "turquoise" to be glass and that is not at all important as a drawback. And Johanne has helpfully identified the coins, which fit right in with what seems to be the period of manufacture. So, in the end, I don't think there are any actual mysteries here, with the clock the only quite unusual - but understandable - feature. Well done.

  What a nice interesting amulet this is! Tell me the size of the blue beads may be I can help with them when I have got the right size..

  Hi Harald, the blue beads are around 3mm. If you could help me with finding these blue beads in the right size, I would be most grateful. This amulet necklace is double sided. The other side has lost all the blue beads.
