Not quite identical, this set of Turkomen pendants, used to join other pieces of a major piece, has original carnelian cabochons and old pieces of turquoise glass. Sourced in Istanbul

Again, Savanna, these are not up to your frequently high level - just "commercial" pieces. Personally I would not even sell them together, as the fact that the stones don't match well is very obvious. There is no reason why you cannot sell them, however, to people who will wear them as pendants, and who aren't interested to know what would have been meant to be attached to the various rings, etc.

For sure, Kim and Savanna - they would be very useable in some sort of "composite" piece done by either of you. From my own viewpoint, when this happens, I usually most like to see such components mixed up with others in such a way that they LEAST look like part of a "Turkoman" piece. I think it is a good thing is components from various tribal sources get re-cycled, but particularly if that happens in markedly original fashion, so that a traditional piece then acquires a completely "new" aesthetic function, and noone could for a moment think that we are, all in all, see a Turkoman piece!
