  • another beauty........
  • last month at a x-mas party organised by a friend, i wore this amulet on a black string around my neck in combination with the mongolian flint pouch attached to my belt. needless to say, for a moment i was the focal point of the party.

  • Did you see the wonderful collection (about 6) Ghau's on marktplaats last month?  I tried to buy same as this one but she only wanted to sell total collection..... ;(

  • Hi, no i didn't see it. too bad i missed it. do you have the ebay itemnumber for me? old high quality gau's are difficult to find.

  • Hi, no they were on the Dutch marktplaats but nobody had made a bid on them and she took them off now, will keep my eyes open in case they will be sold again.

  • hi Ron, I found that good Tibetan pieces can be purchased for very reasonable prices if one is lucky, but most of the time the asking prices are just not reasonable or sometimes even unrealistic. especially for mediocre or standard quality items. This one I bought in China, majority of my Tibetan pieces were actually found in antique markets and shops there. I've been told that there's hardly any good, old stuff to be bought in Tibet itself. Buying in China doesn't mean that prices there are better than in the west, but I like the experience of roaming around at antique markets and feeling my heart pounding when I see a gem lying on the floorcarpet between all the junk.

  • A beauty, this one. Strong design!

  • I agree with Haral, howah - a very attractive piece. And I like what you tell us about buying in China, too!
