  • looks fantastic, love the colours, but is it comfortable ?

  • If you are tiny they are ok but none of these are comfort cloths exactly.  Not compared to what most are used to wearing.  My daughter tried it on and said it is a bit stiff.  One has to be used to wearing this type of thing not to let it bother them.

  • 2506056493?profile=RESIZE_1024x1024Probably from Macedonian Muslims, either made in their original region, either made in Anatolia, after they had emigrated.  I add a picture of a similar vest from my collection, with the same characteristics: fully embroidered with metallic thread ('applied cord'-technique), use of metallic sequins, 'silver' tassels hanging on a string).  Our vest (made 1950-1975) comes from Eskişehir, and is still part of the traditional bridal costume of Muslim immigrants (and their offspring) from Macedonia.  With kind regards, JM.
