  • Although this is VERY black, it COULD be very early.
  • Hi Joost,

I have seen this piece, In my opinion it is early and also what is not shown here is that it has now become one of a pair of fine old temporal pendants!

Great when these sets are once more together!

Its a long, but beautiful story, and I should let those involved tell it!

    Sx

  • All that sounds good, Sarah - it's nice when things get completed. And we are in complete agreement that this is early - as you say in another place, c. 1880 (and could even be earlier).
  • Hi Joost .. I'll bet you're intrigued, so I'll tell you the story. Patti and I were on the same bead tour ... I found one piece of this set, and she found the other, but didn't tell me! I had no idea what I was buying, except that it "called" me. For some strange reason, this was the only piece I didn't dhl to Sydney, so when I went to visit Sarah in the UK I had it with me.  Patti mailed and asked me if she could buy it, and of course I sold it to her!  So the two halves of this set are reunited, even though they had to travel far and wide before it could happen!
  • That's a great story, Savanna, and the more so because a true one! A marvellous set of events, with a great outcome. Very satisfying all round!

  • The great temple pieces are reunited on my photo page thanks to sweet Savannah
  • That's such wonderful news, Patricia! A great example of collaboration!

  • Got it now, Patricia! Especially as I`ve just heard the tale about it from Sarah!!!
