  • I like these, Ayis - as you say, very old, and (which I find even more important!) rare. A good pair.
  • i have all the books related to algerian jewelry, and none of them have published this kind of anklets bar one and they just make a two lines mention of " an early style of anklets without any picture available".

Marlene the swiss dealer have offered a pair for sale in the recent past!

  • I only have, on Algeria, Tamzali (Abzim), Camps-Fabrer (Bijoux berberes d'Algerie), and Benfoughal (Bijoux de l'Aures). Should I look at any of these on any page? (Sorry I can't do the accent marks - I know this looks barbarous.) I think it must be the case that I prefer yours to Marlene's, at whose stock I regularly look, and whose pair does not ring a bell with me when I see yours. I find yours both very good AND interesting, as, frankly, I get a bit  bored by endless numbers of (often new, sometimes old) heavily enamelled Kabyle armbands or anklets. That is why some months ago we deliberately bought, from Linda Pastorino, a large pair concentrating on fine silver work, with just a few corals, and no enamel on them at all (nor any sign that there had been enamel)
  • Is this for sale?

  • these are 10cm in diameter and 10,5cm high they weight in excess of  550 Gr.

    And are for sale
