Ha Ha fibula

Ha Ha Fibula with cows head shape and lovely silver work in perfect condition, with original rings. Hallmarked with ram's head and M for Marrakech. Chains and ball with lovely patina.

    That's a very nice set - and of very good early age. Compare your pieces with each other, and you'll see, if you do so closely, that they actually cover quite a stretch, in time. This is in all respects to my mind one of your best pieces.

    Could you give me an estimate of its age?  Thanks for all your input, I'm avid, but I'm a novice, learning in the deep end!

    I'd say 80-100 years, and possibly more. These, I think, are of the kind that as a collector (if you do want to collect seriously) you SHOULD buy. A good choice. Compare the workmanship, deep patina, etc with the rather superficial - not deeply traditional - Turkoman pieces that I classify as "commercial" only (i.e. for wear only): a world of difference. Hold them closely together, and compare them in detailed fashion.
