  • Oh! The way that little hand is grasping the flower is pure poetry in silver. Lovely piece!

     

  • you cant miss it:

    -the little hand with flowers

    -the belt holes shape

    -the braided silver belt

    and of course the hallmarked tughras!

     

    everything in this belt speaks about its ottoman origine

     

    There is an arabic inscription on the belt wich i could not decipher

    Speaking about ottomans and knowing your love to moroccan belt buckles Becky, i should tell you that without the ottoman influence moroccan ladies would still be wearing wool and silk belts

     

    And to my opinion, If there is a single feature that could summarize the ottoman woman jewellery , that would be undoubtfully their crazyness about metal belts and belt buckles
