Sri Lankan Pin mistaken for Spanish or Portugese rose cut stones FB discussion

Happy to share my new find ,need a repair though :).. Antique Spanish or Portuguese gilt silver pin with rose cut stones (they did not test for diamonds but electronically tested between Spinel and Topaz ... I think it dates between 1760's -1800's .. Please let me know your thoughts ... they are greatly appreciated .
