  • I`m in the queue for one of these too, after frequent visits to the website.

    Thank you, Lanajnaj!

  • This is a very substantial and beautiful book.

  • Hi, just wanted to let you know that I ordered the book. Should receive it next week. Looking forward to.

@Patti: envious of your Karakalpak kheikals!!

  • Good luck Howah, i also wanna buy that book for sure.

  • Hi, yes I have visited the site many times before. It's nice that the makers of the site devoted this much energy and time to inform the rest of the world about this little known Turkic group. I definitely would like to add an example of Karakalpak jewelry to my collection. The amulet necklaces (heykels) from this group are mind blowing! But like Patricia indicated and her being a lucky owner of one at least, Karakalpak jewelry is very scarce and expensive when available at all! I love buying books on the subject of ethnic jewelry and art in general so will definitely buy the book next year after I have received my salary :)

  • Howah, you can enjoy this very nice informative visual web site about Karakalpak jewelry till you buy the book :)

see the jewelry page for many nice examples of Kakalpak pieces for info see rest of pages on the website.  Its nothing less then a nice bookl

  • I did buy this book since I have a special interest in the Karakalpak and it is a great, great book. Wonderful pics and very understandable discussion! Now if only somebody would dump a little Karakalpak jewelry and embroidery on the market at extremely reasonable prices,it would make everything even more fun!

  • Had a quick look and the book seems amazing. Will buy it sometime next year. December is a very expensive month! Thanks for informing us!

  • Thank you for sharing this.It looks like a great resource book.
