Hallo Stefany , thank you for adding me as your friend. Looking forward to go through your book, of course to learn about the beads, I do have quite a bit and it will be great to read about them. Especially about the trade beads.
Thank you very much for your quick response. Indeed, it is about twenty years ago I bought your book. It became the first step into a passion. I design, restore and just collect bead necklaces. As I feel very lonely in my village in the Negev desert in Israel with this hobby, I started a site on the internet to inform the public en large about all kind of aspects of bead necklaces. (no selling!) The site is based on a huge library a compiled during these years. It is still under construction and texts and photographs are currently being revised. A part of the photo's are of existing necklaces and some are my own designs, as far as relevant to the text.
The site has several purposes: General information, (hidden) tips for those who make necklaces and finally it will teach people about the different necklaces over different places and times.

Hi Stefany, many thanks for naming me as a friend.
Portobello Rd? I used to go there a lot and I visited lots of shops........I havent been there for a while. What sort of things were you specifically selling? At the time I was buying Middle Eastern prints......Now as you can see I have moved to ethnic/tribal North African jewels and artifacts.
