An appreciation of ethnic jewellery and adornment
I have suddenly realised that it is the 22nd (in Australia at any rate!), and that I have been doing a lot of posting here, with very little time for it now left, as I have a lot "on hand" (including research on English literature to complete fairly quickly). I wish to thank all those who have expressed their appreciation of my posts and private correspondence. Your support has been most heartening, and I am very grateful to those who express their appreciation for all the hard work Truus and I have engaged in to further promote the cause of ethnic jewellery, both here and on our Facebook page "Ethnic Jewellery and Adornment", which now has more than 2100 "fans". This extent of support for us and our work has FAR outstripped expectations, with many now interested in ethnic jewellery who had never seen it before and those already interested growing more interested and better informed by the day. I congratulate Sarah with the similar success she has achieved on this site, which has become a valuable meeting place for all those interested in the subject, with much lively and passionate discussion a regular occurrence. It is excellent to see how we are all helping each other here with our posts. I wish everyone a happy Christmas and 2012.
