Hello Jaina :))).. More strange pieces to wonder at and test out in the imagination....A different attitude to the body ... what to aspire to in terms of the admiration it gained. But also how to use these strange pieces. I found some information about the cobra ear-rings in a book A Golden Treasury: Jewellery from the Indian Subcontinent, produced by the Vicoria and Albert Museum. I knew it would come in handy one day! It says these are ear-rings and would have been worn with FIVE other ornaments on each ear by the sudra women. I'll try to put a scan of the page here!
