Ethnic Jewels

An appreciation of ethnic jewellery and adornment

Dear bead threading friends!
Apologies for taking so long to get back with information about my one-day classes.
Bead necklaces are more popular than ever today- just look at so many TV presenters, wearing their beads...
I teach the most useful basics for threading bead jewellery including knotting techniques to a professional standard. The class includes methods for working with small and large-holed beads, (but not beadweaving, netting and lacy beadwork techniques that use regular embroidery beads).
Learn how to make Beautiful Wearable Jewellery, or add to your skills.
(Just bring your best reading glasses and your enthusiasm)
With over 40 years’ experience teaching in London, I offer this practical class for small groups, or a one-to-one class can be negotiated.
Students learn several different methods of threading beads, knotting, and securely attaching various types of clasps. Included are materials and use of tools for small-scale examples of each of the 6 techniques you work on, which you will take home.

Upcoming suggested midweek dates for bead threading classes to be held
in my ‘office’ in August and September 2016:
Let me know by email or replying directly to this message, for fees and address details.

Unless you have to leave mid-afternoon we can start the class at 12.00 and go on till at least 5.30.
