Hi Sarah,

Hope you are enjoying your time in Morocco as usual.

I am still looking for these pendants but unfortunately as you said they are quite pricey for the use they are meant for even if i am sure that they are beautiful and genuine ( i trust your eye)

Thank you for your relentless efforts and help

Hi Ayis,

do you still need some of these? I saw 4 beautiful 4 cm ones yesterday, old coral one was around 1 cm wide the others were around 5-6 mm wide. three had old original silver caps, one had a new replacement cap, but well made!

they are pretty pricey!

If you would like them, I can do them for you at cost (£76) as a thank you for your wonderful work here on the site.....

if you would like me to send a pic ...let me know.  In Morocco until Tuesday .

speak soon

warmest wishes

The silversmith who puts the cap on them for us does quite a fair job.  We loved the idea of recycling our old branch coral beads (as was done well into the past) and this is the perfect solution.  We sold them on eBay, so I'll look though our many photo archives to find some photos if I have a change before we go.  If you wanted the antique look, some bleach, sandpaper/ file and a buffing wheel would do the job perfectly.  I occasionally do this with some of my items when I want to get rid of the "new" look.

thanx SARAh and Hillary.

I have heaps of branch coral that will fit the bill, but i am not going to morocco anysoon and if i manage to do, it would be for a couple of days stranded in casablanca.  :-(

Hillary, how do you compare  the newly made ones  with the old ones?

Hello Ayis,

I assume that you're looking for old pieces  We used to take our old, broken branch coral beads to Tiznit and have these made there.  I'll keep my eyes open when we're there.
