An appreciation of ethnic jewellery and adornment

... and another one, I just can't seem to find where this bracelet comes from. It seems like Ethiopia but if anyone knows more...

it has little stones ore something in it so it rattles when wearing.

thanks, friends!

Dear AnneMarie Eleveld, A bit late but only now noticed it.  I think this is a anklet, one of a set, and not a bracelet.  Although it looks like the RashAida anklets, the wormanship is not the same, the seam in the middle differs.  Like Zambezi mentioned perhaps Sudanese (Nubian) or Oman? It does look rather old  and worn.  My mind does go to Oman because of its solidness.  GR. Ingrid.

This I believe is a Nubian anklet from Egypt / Sudan.  If you google for example "Egypt Nubian Silver Anklet" or "Sudanese Anklet Nubia" you should get quite a few cross references come up under the images.  You can then click through and get more details.  Sometimes they are classified as bracelets, so if you don't find enough examples using anklet, just replace that word with bracelet in your search option.
