For those who's interest journeys beyond jewelry, here is a lovely website that explores weaving and rugmaking traditions (as well as tie-dyed veils) of Morocco.  A very refreshing site with many examples of older pieces.

Harvard University's Peabody Museum- Online Collections

Here is the link to Harvard's Peabody Museum website.  You can choose how to search for items; this is very helpful as their ethnographic collection is enormous.  It is a great site with many pieces that were collected decades ago.

a Nomad Project ... Tuareg Jewelry and Desert Voyages

An intro about my work and passion in the desert of South Algeria, a Tuareg region

 

Part of the year I live in the desert, in the Tuareg area in South Algeria.

During my travels to the Tuareg region in South Algeria I fell in love with the jewelry made by the 'Inaden' the jewelrymakers tribe.

They work with geometrical patterns, earth designs, like the stars, sun, animals etc.…
