Necklace question

Hi - I am a complete newbie to the world of ethnic adornment and am fairly isolated as I live in South Australia.

I recently bought this necklace from a friend who lived in Morocco for 15 years and would greatly appreciate any information about it and it's possible value. It's old and the egg bead is huge.
