barbara cameron said… thank you sarah. as an avid collector of tribal and ethnic jewelry from around the world and owner of a retail store in the washington d.c. area i look forward to being in touch with the members of ethnic jewels.
as i travel to countries where groups like the tuareg, embera, zulu, berber, ndebele and others live, more and more i i face the fact that the jewelry that i love so much is becoming scarce. the reasons are usually the same. though perhaps like everything, nothing remains the same, so jewelry too must evolve to reflect our times.. i am happy to have amassed attleast a minor collection of the past and to be able view the beautiful pieces members generously share with us in photos
HASSAN AMGHAR said… First I want to thank my admission as a member of this site very interesting for me. Recently I became interested in the jewels of the Rif area of Morocco and this returns to my memory I have of my grandmother when she wore many metals around your body ... Later I will put pictures of the pieces I have acquired. Hassan
