Did you see my last comment on Ayi's blog about those beads from Salamanca. I have made some further investigation and it seems that many of the old pictures of people wearing customes from that region come from a very famous Spanish photographer named Jose Ortiz Echague. If you google his name in internet you will get quite a lot of pcis made by him. There is also a book by him named "España. Tipos and Trajes" (Spain. Characters and Costumes) which I have read has wonderful pictures. Its 9th Ed. was maded in 1953. Well, hope this is interesting. Best regards, Jose.
