Yomud pectoral or necklace or braid ornament?

Could anyone explain what this is? It looks different than the typical Yomud braid ornaments with the plaques. All silver, with silver gilt appliques. Glass jewels and turquoise-colored glass beads. I really love it.

Hi Stefany, thank you for looking at this. It is a bit under 300g in weight, and 19 inches long. The width varies depending how the piece is arranged but the central plaque is 5 inches wide and in the above arrangement it would be 8" wide across the central plaque.

Comments on the use, age, etc are most welcome. I know that it is Yomud and that the central plaque is used in braid ornaments, and that is it!

This does look different from a pectoral, looks like it is based on a headdress element, one that adorns the back of the head to emphasize the braids. I don't think it is old, but it is lovely.Espcially like the appliques. I really do not think that turquoise was used much in the older Turkoman pieces, but some disagree with this.
