'Tokalı kemer' (woman's belt with buckles). Probably made in northern Syria, and exported to the Adiyaman region. Late-Ottoman, cheap(er) urban style, ca. 1900. The bronze buckles are silver plated, and gilt (some of it worn off). Size: 18½ x 7½ cm. The belt is 86 cm long, with 23 silver alloy elements, slit on the fabric. All metal elements are cast. (Inv.n° müç195 - Kavak Costume Collection, Antwerpen/Belgium).
