    @ Betty: The church is possibly a (not very realistic) reference to the Etchmiadzin Cathedral, which is the mother sanctuary of the Armenian Apostolic Church.  This Cathedral has numerous towers and was an icon, even in times in which pictures of it were rare (which would explain non-realistic renderings).  With kind regards, JM.
